Reeltime Charters has been running out of the port of Yamba/Iluka NSW since 2008. We are the longest running charter the area has ever had. Part of the reason for this is we give the customer that little bit extra.
Although our boats are licensed for many more people I limit the seats to 10 per boat as to give the customer as much fishing room as I can.
Our trips go that little bit longer, 8hrs from 6am to 2pm. We include lunch for the customer as well as snacks and water/soft drink, BYO is always welcome.
Fishing Charter Details
Hours: 6am to 2pm
Depart from Yamba Marina.
Pickup from Iluka ferry wharf (Iluka Boatshed).
We cater for birthday, office and buck’s parties. We can cater for groups up to 30 people in comfort between our 3 boats.
Safety is paramount to our business. We have done well over 2000 trips to sea without incident. We do not put to sea if the wind or swell are too big, no fish is worth risking someone’s safety.
From June to October we run whale watching, running two trips a day, 9am and 1pm, dedicating one boat specifically for that purpose.
Dave Gaden, Owner, Skipper
“I first fished Yamba around 1973 with my family on holidays as an 11yo kid. Over the years this developed into an obsession that I still have today. I spent year’s competition deep sea fishing up and down the coast with some success. In 2005 I purchased my first tackle shop and around that time started our own internet fishing show with mates Wazza Bray and Paul Burt which ran for around 4 years.
I started Reel Time Charters in 2008 after purchasing my first charter vessel from good friend Paul Burt. Paul and I were jointly running the boat he owned for a while and with his TV commitments he was time poor and sold the business to me.
The rest as they say is history and now on average we do well over 300 trips to sea between the boats per year.”
